Description:
1. Accountant/Snr Bookkeeper.
2. B.Com Degree or Accounting diploma
3. To report to and work closely with Financial Director.
4. More than 5 years’ experience in full accounting function up to Trial Balance (Debtors, Creditors, journals, cash books).
5. VAT calculations and submission of returns (knowledge of VAT regulations required).
6. PAYE, UIF, SDL returns.
7. Fixed asset register and depreciation calculations.
8. Monthly management reports & reconciliations
9. Drafting of Management statements to be submitted to Financial Director for further workings.
10. Preparation of audit files for annual audit of financial statements.
11. B-BBEE: Company expenses (Preferential Procurement) schedules.
12. Short term insurance – regular liaison with insurers to keep insured items up to date, handle claims etc.
13. Project Tenders: Preparation of Tender files.
14. May be required to stand in for Managing Director’s PA from time to time, when on leave.
15. Admin items:
a. Filing: Financial & project related.
b. Management of stationery.
c. Any other admin items that may be required from time to time from any of the directors
