Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, and reconciliations Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial data Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs Handle VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies Reconcile balance sheet accounts Assist with internal and external audits Oversee fixed asset register and depreciation schedules Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Liaise with external stakeholders (banks, auditors, SARS, etc.) Provide guidance and support to junior staff if applicableMinimum Requirements:
SAIPA qualification + 3 years post-article experience BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) Advanced Excel skills Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
