Stellenbosch: A great career opportunity awaits an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join the team at a luxury vehicle brand dealership. Purpose of the Role : To deliver high-quality technical service and diagnostic expertise within the dealership workshop to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and efficient vehicle maintenance and repairsKey responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults using manufacturer diagnostic tools
- Conduct road tests with customers to verify reported issues and demonstrate resolutions
- Liaise with Service Advisors and Managers to ensure clear communication and efficient job flow
- Perform repair work in line with dealership and manufacturer quality standards
- Accurately document work completed and update job cards and diagnostic reports
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and service procedures
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure tools are calibrated and in good condition
- Mentor junior technicians and apprentices, sharing technical knowledge and expertise
- Stay current with technical training and manufacturer bulletins
- Contribute to a clean, safe and professional work environment
- Support continuous improvement in service delivery and workshop efficiency
- Promote the dealership brand and demonstrate professional behaviour at all times
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Technician within a dealership network
- 2 years’ experience as a Master Technician would be advantageous
- Red Seal Qualification is preferable
- Extensive diagnostics and fault-finding background
- High standard of customer service and communication skills
- Technical certification or relevant automotive qualification
- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and manufacturer platforms
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
