Hire Resolve's client is seeking a passionate and creative Assistant Fashion Designer to join their dynamic team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong eye for design, attention to detail, and a love for the ever-evolving world of fashion.Responsibilities:

Assist the head designer with creating seasonal collections from concept to final product.

Conduct market and trend research to support design inspiration and direction.

Develop sketches, technical drawings, and detailed design specs.

Source fabrics, trims, and other materials, maintaining updated records.

Participate in fittings and adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and finish.

Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to support timely production.

Organize samples, mood boards, and design archives.
Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field.

1–2 years of experience in a fashion design role (internships included).

Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.

Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and fashion trends.

Excellent communication and time-management skills.

A collaborative attitude and a keen eye for detail.
