Key Accounts Manager – Food Services
Location: Paarden Eiland
Job Purpose:
Manage the effective running of specific National Food Service accounts by achieving set targets, while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Qualifications / Skills:

Matric (Grade 12)
-
Degree in Sales and/or Marketing ( Required )
-
SAP experience
Experience Required:
-
5–8 years of experience in the FMCG industry ( Required )

Experience in the seafood industry ( Advantageous )
Contract Type:
Permanent (6-month probation period)
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 17h00
( Hours may fluctuate depending on production/operational demands )
Key Responsibilities:

Achieve sales targets, maximize turnover, profitability, and growth of assigned Key Account customers.
-
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Account customers to ensure loyalty and reduce risk of churn.
-
Understand key customer needs and requirements thoroughly.
-
Propose tailored solutions that meet customer objectives.
-
Ensure timely delivery of correct products and services.
-
Serve as the primary communication link between customers and the company.
-
Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently to maintain trust.
-
Prepare and present regular reports on progress and forecasts using key account metrics.
-
Foster a positive team environment and provide regular feedback and training to achieve company objectives.
-
Align sales growth strategies with overall company goals.
-
Present weekly/monthly reports on sales performance, margins, budgets, and variances.
-
Identify and develop new customers and markets.
-
Manage returns and process claims promptly.
-
Monitor competitor activity and report insights to the Sales Manager.
-
Provide accurate feedback to customers on stock availability and shortages.
-
Meet budgeted expectations and provide insight into any barriers to success.
-
Manage stock levels and meet stock management targets for your portfolio.
-
Implement process improvements to maximize efficiency.
-
Continuously assess and grow the SKU range in your portfolio.
-
Oversee stock at depots and distribution centers, including replenishment planning and demand forecasting.
-
Manage both sales and administration functions while maintaining profitability and strong customer relationships.
