Job Title: Financial Manager

Purpose of the Role:
To oversee and manage all financial operations of the organization, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic guidance to support operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
- Interpret and apply IFRS standards.
- Maintain and review general ledger reconciliations.
- Oversee fixed assets within manufacturing operations.
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance.
- Coordinate and support external audits.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance vs. budget and analyze variances.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare budget and forecast evaluations at SBU and cost centre levels.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity.
- Manage working capital effectively.
- Oversee cost control initiatives and analyze OPEX and Cost of Sales variances.
- Provide insights and reports for cost control and evaluation.
- Manage Debtors and Creditors effectively.
- Oversee payroll accuracy and statutory compliance.
- Manage tax planning and statutory tax return submissions.
- Implement, improve and audit internal financial controls and systems.
- Raise and manage FOREX requirements.
- Collaborate with executive management to develop and support strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial insight to aid long-term planning and business development.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure professional growth and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or
- National Diploma in Financial Information Systems
- Minimum of 5 years in a Financial Manager or equivalent role
- Previous experience in engineering or manufacturing sectors is advantageous
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems (Pastel, Syspro, Sage, Eero, Draftworx).
- Strong knowledge of auditing practices, OPEX management, and foreign exchange processes.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindset.
- Systems-design orientation with process improvement experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- High integrity, urgency, and a results-oriented work ethic.
