Key responsibilities and duties:
Supervise and support warehouse staff by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. Plan and oversee despatch and delivery schedules to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods, working closely with carriers and suppliers to track shipments and resolve any issues. Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and maintain accurate records to meet customer demands. Identify and implement strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity. Enforce safety and security protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent damage, theft, or loss. Train new team members to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities and perform effectively. Address customer inquiries and complaints related to shipping and receiving, providing timely and satisfactory resolutions. Maintain a clean, organised warehouse in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution center Strong knowledge of warehouse and shipping operations Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with safety and security protocols
