Guest Service ExcellenceProvide a warm, professional welcome to all guests.Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and presentation.Engage with guests courteously, anticipating their needs and preferences.Ensure a memorable dining experience by delivering personalized service.Handle special requests, dietary needs, and guest feedback promptly.ð Restaurant Setup and MaintenancePrepare the dining area before each service: setting tables, polishing cutlery, aligning décor.Ensure all service areas are clean, organized, and stocked at all times.Maintain the ambiance of the restaurant, adjusting lighting, music, and cleanliness.ð· Food & Beverage KnowledgePossess thorough knowledge of the lodge’s menu, wine list, and daily specials.Confidently recommend food and wine pairings.Answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.ð§¾ Order Taking and ServingAccurately take food and beverage orders using lodge protocols (POS systems or handwritten).Serve food and beverages efficiently, in the correct sequence, and with attention to detail.Clear plates and utensils discreetly and promptly between courses.ð¼ Team CollaborationWork closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.Coordinate with fellow waiters and supervisors during peak times and special events.Assist with setup and service for bush dinners, boma evenings, picnics, or special lodge events.ð Compliance and StandardsAdhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.Follow internal SOPs and 5-star service standards at all times.Handle lodge property, glassware, and cutlery with care to prevent damage or loss.ðµï¸âï¸ Upselling and Revenue AwarenessPromote lodge specials, premium wines, or exclusive experiences to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.Monitor and report low stock items or guest preferences to the supervisor.- Must have Grade 12
- 4-5 years' relevant hotel experience
- Previous experience on Micros would be an advantage
- Must have excellent communication and people skills
- Must be able to work under pressure
