Description:
Our client in the agricultural sector is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join their team. This role requires someone that is willing to work 12-hour shifts and will be reporting directly to the Production Manager. Responsibilities:- Control and monitoring the extrusion process.
- Responsible for tool changes, feeder changes and raw material changes.
- Ensure there is timeous line set-ups and changeovers.
- Managing the production shift.
- Take responsibility for process and product quality.
- Monitoring and inspections of the machines and equipment.
- Analysis of the process and product deviations as well as troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Focus on the OEE indicators.
- Maintain team discipline and morale, monitor the attendance, punctuality and keep record thereof.
- Ensure the production area and facilities are clean and organized.
- Responsible for the shift safety and safety of the team.
- Drive the lean operational activities such as set-ups, autonomous maintenance, root cause, corrective action, problem solving , FIFO and meetings.
- Shift maintenance and general maintenance.
- Matric certificate.
- 4+ years in a similar role / manufacturing environment.
- Experience in supervising a team.
- Must be a hands on person.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent numeracy skills and computer literacy.
- Must have good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Drivers license.
- Forklift license.
- Able to work at heights.
