Description:

Hire Resolve’s client in the Construction industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Health & Safety Officer in George, Western Cape.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with construction health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and identify hazards.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend preventative actions.
  • Provide safety training and promote a safety culture.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and safe work methods.

Requirements:

  • Registration with SACPMP
  • Relevant Health and Safety Qualification (e.g., degree, diploma, certificate)
  • Minimum 2 Years experience in the Construction Industry
  • Strong knowledge of the South African OHS Act and construction regulations
  • Proven skills in risk assessment and incident investigation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Auditing and report writing skills
  • Computer Literacy (Outlook / Basic Word & Excel)
  • Drivers License – Code 08 or above
