INTRODUCTION:
We're seeking an experienced Programme Stock Manager to oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory records, maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, and implement effective stock management procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Ensure optimal warehouse layout for easy access and retrieval.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO stock rotation principles where applicable.
- 100% compliance with FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure there are no safety incidents due to poor stock storage practices.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment processes.
- Ensure timely ordering and receipt of stock
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Ensure optimal storage and layout of stock
- Generate reports on stock levels, inventory movements, and other relevant metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
-Prepare timely reports on slow-moving stock, and discrepancies.
-Maintain audit-ready inventory records and adjustment logs.
- Inventory reports submitted weekly and monthly without delays.
- 100% compliance with audit requirements
- Implement and maintain procedures to prevent stock loss and damage
- Investigate discrepancies and take corrective action
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and other teams to ensure smooth operations.
-Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams on stock movements and requirements.
- Communicate stock shortages, surpluses, and discrepancies promptly.
- Timely communication of stock issues to relevant teams
- Positive feedback from internal teams on communication and cooperation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a fair and timely manner.
-Ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss projects, share ideas, and provide feedback.
- Willingness to work overtime, as and when required..
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Matric
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification
EXPERIANCE:
- Not less than 4 years’ proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Working knowledge of inventory management software - MTRAC experience will be advantageous.
- Active participation in inventory audits
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and organizational skills
