Description:
- Hire Resolves client is seeking a skilled Revit and CAD Operator to join their Mechanical department , at one of the leading engineering consulting firms in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Revit and AutoCAD software and will work closely with engineers and design teams to produce detailed drawings, plans, and models for various engineering projects.
𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:- A degree or diploma in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Building Design, or a related field is
preferred. - Certifications in Revit or AutoCAD will be beneficial.
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within an engineering firm, within their
mechanical division . - Proficient in the use of Revit and AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D).
- Proficient in the drafting of mechanical components such as air conditioning and ventilation systems,
plumbing and drainage systems as well as fire - fighting systems. - Familiarity with BIM (Buildin g Information Modeling) workflows and best practices.
- Experience working on a range of projects, such as commercial, residential, or industrial.
- Own vehicle will be beneficial .
- Strong proficiency with Revit (including families and templates) and AutoCAD (d rafting, layout, and
detailing). - Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and construction documentation.
- Ability to generate high - quality technical drawings, 3D models, and schematics.
- Familiarity with other software such as Navisworks, SketchUp, or 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow project specifications accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
- Familiarity with local building codes and industry standards is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
