Job Description:
As a Secretary at our medical practice, you will be the first point of contact for patients. You will be responsible for managing front office duties, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and providing administrative support to the Professor.
Responsibilities:
• Answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries
• Maintaining patient records and ensuring that all documentation is accurate
• Organizing and maintaining office files
• Billing / Accounts
• Liaising with hospitals and supporting doctors for theatre bookings
• Managing office supplies and ensuring that the office is well-maintained
• Handling administrative tasks such as transcription
• Performing other related duties as required to support the Professor
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a medical secretary, receptionist, or in a similar administrative role is preferred but not essential. All training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• Discretion when handling confidential information
• Grade 12 Certification or equivalent (required)
• Own transport
