Description:
JOB PURPOSE
The factory managers responsibilities include scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, monitoring the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. This position is responsible for enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job-related activities include, but are not limited to:
Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations. Screening, recruiting, and training new factory workers. Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes. Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order. Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues. Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers. Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards. Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets. Ensure personal productivity and performance meets required standards. Plan, draw up and execute a production schedule Determine and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate Monitor productivity rates and product standards, and implement a quality control programme Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget, and that quality standards and targets are met Work with managers to implement the companys policies and goals Review worker performance and identify training needs Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems Ad hoc duties, as required.WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:
This position is based in an industrial factory with automated machinery. For this position, you must be medically fit and mobile.REQUIREMENTS
The requirements and qualifications for this position include:
National Diploma/Degree in Engineering, preferred, or Qualified Millwright with certified trade test. Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory. Certification in production and inventory management, as well as quality control, is advantageous. Sound knowledge of industry-specific
