Description:
Lead the civil engineering design and implementation of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.)
Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, designs, and construction documentation
Provide technical guidance to project teams and ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project delivery
Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and provide design recommendations for optimal site development
Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, environmental specialists, project managers, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, and report on project progress and performance
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge development
Use Civil 3D software to create precise, effective civil designs and models
Skills & Experience:
Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, with demonstrated experience in civil design and modeling
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly
Experience in site development, infrastructure planning, and environmental considerations for energy projects
Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to sustainable and practical design solutions
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and effectively manage external stakeholder relationships
Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and best practices in sustainable design
Minimum requirements
B.Eng / BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum 710 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects
Professional registration with ECSA (or in progress) is preferred
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
