Description:

My client is looking for a Payroll & HR Administrator to manage and coordinate their end-to-end payroll function and provide HR administrative support for a large workforce of both weekly wages (250 employees) and monthly salaried staff (55 employees).

This role is based in Germiston, Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, including importing hours, processing earnings/deductions, and leave management. Maintain accurate employee data and records on the VIP system, ensuring all changes are timely and properly authorised. Perform regular payroll reconciliations, variance checks, and ensure payroll balances match third-party schedules. Coordinate third-party payments (e.g., pension, loans, garnishees) and ensure accurate reporting and submissions. Prepare payroll journals and reports for month-end and year-end processes, including PAYE and WCA submissions. Provide general HR administrative support including onboarding, terminations, incentive processing, and UIF documentation. Respond to employee payroll and HR queries in a professional and timely manner. Requirements:
Matric and a relevant payroll qualification 5 years proven experience in a similar payroll/HR admin role handling high-volume payroll. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, SARS, UIF, and HR best practices. Proficiency in VIP Payroll and MS Office. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
