The Main Purpose of the job

The incumbent will be responsible for Stock control, distributing and handling of stock to ensure a profitable and professional cleaning service on the site they are contracted to. They will support the business in order to ensure client satisfaction and retention of business whilst upholding the company policies & Procedures.

Education and Experience required:

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Maintenance & Storeman qualifications is required.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in similar roll

  • Excellent organizational, numeric and administrative skills
  • Ability to multitask and priorities effectively whilst working in a stressful environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Well-groomed and professional
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines

Key areas of responsibility:

Warehouse

  • Housekeeping: Storeroom must always be neat & tidy (Cleaning & Hygiene).
  • Perform stock picking.
  • Complete monthly stock take.
  • Receive stock and equipment.
  • Ensure variance reports are checked and maintained.
  • Receive and check hygiene mats and issue similar replacements.
  • Ensure stock delivery to the Mpumalanga office.
  • Respond to mechanical breakdowns.
  • Inspect & repair faulty equipment when required.
  • Manage equipment repair books with suppliers.
  • Submit all maintenance quotes to the Regional Manager for approval.
  • Report site issues to the Regional Manager.
  • Report warehouse issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Perform weekly spot checks on fleet vehicles and report damages to the Regional Manager.

Operations

  • Attend a monthly meeting with Area Managers.
  • Ensure a copy of a job card is available at sites.
  • Complete equipment replacement documentation when removing any equipment from a site.

Inspections

  • Conduct equipment inspections and report faults or breakages.

HSE Compliance

  • Keep abreast and comply with the clients HSE requirements.
  • Maintain HSE awareness on site.
  • File all necessary HSE supporting documents on site.

Equipment

  • Ensure equipment is kept neat and clean.
  • Maintain an asset register for all equipment on site.
  • Oversee maintenance and proper storage of equipment on site.

Communication

  • Communicate daily activities with the Regional Manager and Warehouse Manager.
