Hire Resolve’s client in the ICT industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a General Manager in Cape Town, Western Cape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve branch objectives.
- Provide leadership to the branch, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and conduct performance reviews to develop a high-performing team.
- Develop and manage the branch budget, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions to ensure profitability.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Implement competitive pricing and operational strategies.
- Manage all client services, including tender applications and government contracts.
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve client issues promptly.
- Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and relationship building.
- Set and monitor sales targets, account plans, and performance metrics.
- Prepare regular operational performance reports.
- Track key metrics (e.g., project timelines, service quality, resource utilization), and provide insights on operational trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and industry standards.
- Implement risk management strategies.
- Promote a culture of innovation by adopting new technologies and practices.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Take responsibility for the overall success, profitability, and service delivery of the branch.
- Achieve revenue and operational targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- The role requires the individual to perform duties and tasks related to business growth, operations, and profitability of the office, as assigned by management.
- The individual is expected to provide the highest level of courtesy and service.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of managerial experience, ideally within the ICT or related sectors.
- A strong understanding of tender processes and government contract management.
- A proven track record of success in revenue generation and branch management.
- Extensive experience in managing client and operational portfolios.
- Demonstrated success in sales, strategic planning, and financial management.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic and analytical thinking abilities, with the capacity to develop and implement business plans.
- Proficiency in financial and operational management tools.
- Strong knowledge of ICT solutions and government tender regulations.
