An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and professional Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, contract administration, and client interactions across a variety of commercial property projects.
Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all aspects of cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting

Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
-
Interpret project specifications and analyze technical documentation
-
Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and site managers
-
Provide pre-contract services including feasibility studies, tender documentation, and contractual reports
-
Oversee procurement methods and strategies, including tendering and contract administration
-
Deliver post-contract services such as valuations, change management, and extension of time claims
-
Maintain detailed and accurate project cost reports
-
Support successful project delivery through effective stakeholder communication and coordination
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
-
Professional registration with SACQSP (PrQS) with a minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience
-
Proficient in WinQS, DimX, and BIM systems
-
Strong experience in the commercial property sector
-
In-depth knowledge of both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services
-
Excellent understanding of procurement and forms of contract
-
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage relationships confidently
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
-
Proven track record in similar roles
