My client is looking to employ a Gopfert Operator
Operate high technology machine to achieve Operational Efficiency. Ensure printing equipment are maintained correctly to function properly. To ensure the production department achieves set targets with the resources available. To ensure that company policies are adhered to through procedures and systems. Plan, lead, organize and control all inline machine functions.
*REPORTING TO: Rotary Manager**
• *MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Operating 3-4 colour printing Rotary Die cut machine.
- Be able to conduct 1st line maintenance (ATM schedules)
- Must have the ability to do basic die repairs and maintenance
- Reporting any problems in connection with the Stereos and Inks, (non-stock materials)
- To conduct and adhere to quality controls and procedures.
- To minimize run waste on press
- Effective and economical use of other non-stock materials.
- Reporting any engineering problems of the machine to the engineering specialist.
- Enforce good housekeeping practices (5 S)
- Supervising and controlling the crew members.
- Must have the ability to train and manage crew members work performance
- Updating the machine progress by updating time sheet
- Ensure adherence to Safety rules and regulations
• *KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS**
- Ability to converse well in English and have good interpersonal skills
- Self-driven and energetic
- Be production driven but not compromising quality
- Willing to work shifts
- Must be able to work under pressure and be a problem solver
- Lead other crew members during machine operation
- Have the ability to work independently
Requirements:
- - Qualified Corrugated Printing Machine Minder: 2 to 3 years
• *REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Matric with maths.
- Qualified Corrugated printing Machine Minder.
- Related tertiary qualification or Packaging and Printing related Trade Test an advantage.
- 3-5 years’ experience operating high technology converting equipment an advantage.
- Experience in a supervisory role an advantage.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
