Role Overview
Our client is seeking a driven Junior Financial Advisor to join its team. This role is ideal for a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or someone actively working toward CFP® certification. The advisor will work closely with senior advisors, gaining exposure to high-net-worth individuals, companies, and trusts, with a focus on investment planning and long-term financial strategies. The role offers extensive professional development and potential for international career expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in creating goal-oriented, realistic financial plans for individuals, businesses, and trusts
Develop tailored investment, retirement, and estate strategies
Support senior advisors in delivering compliant, high-quality client advice
Stay informed on local and offshore markets, legislation, and financial products
Conduct research, prepare financial plans and reports, and assist with portfolio reviews
Participate in ongoing training, strategy sessions, and client meetings
Contribute to building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
CFP® certification or actively pursuing CFP® qualification (required)
Grade 12 (Matric)
Wealth Management or similar qualification (minimum 120 credits, NQF Level 8)
13 years experience in financial planning, investment advisory, or wealth management
Strong understanding of financial planning processes and investment strategies
Excellent professional communication and client engagement skills
Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Experience with high-net-worth individuals, corporates, or trusts is advantageous
