We are a well-established financial services provider based in the vibrant Umhlanga Ridge area, and we’re looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join our growing team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learning and Support: Assist senior analysts in planning efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Stakeholder Assistance: Support stakeholder engagement by assisting in gathering requirements and documenting expectations.
- Solution Assistance: Help create detailed requirements and specifications for business solutions under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Research Support: Conduct basic research and analysis to identify key metrics and improvement opportunities, with guidance from senior team members.
- Process Assistance: Assist in documenting and implementing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, under supervision.
- Agile Exposure: Learn about Agile methodologies and how they are applied in business analysis.
- Business Plan Support: Assist in the development and execution of business plans by providing support in data gathering and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric
- Degree/Diploma in Information Technology/Information Systems, or a related field advantageous
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Junior Business Analyst
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior experience within the financial services industry advantageous
- Experience managing multiple projects and operational requests, with a strong understanding of Agile and/or waterfall methodologies
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Suites (VISIO), and Confluence
- Knowledge of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) and its application
