We are looking for a professional Inspector Quality for our client in Helderberg, Somerset West. Overview:Our client, a leading international manufacturing firm in the aviation sector, is seeking a meticulous and committed Quality Inspector (IWS) to act as an on-site representative for their German operations. This key role is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement across processes and products.The successful candidate will report directly to the Quality Assurance Team in Germany and contribute significantly to the company’s global quality objectives. Initial onboarding and training will take place in Germany over 2–3 months, making a valid passport essential. Ongoing collaboration and alignment with international teams will be required. Key Responsibilities- Conduct Customer-Specific Inspections (CSI) on-site.
- Perform acceptance inspections of composite shells and components.
- Inspect painted and foiled parts for compliance with quality standards.
- Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
- Investigate and resolve quality complaints in cooperation with local and German engineering teams.
- Support in-process inspections during moulding, machining, and bonding stages.
- Approve and document rework actions using systems like Mantis and Jira.
- Train production and quality staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Provide regular quality status updates to local and German management teams.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant engineering qualification or completed industrial/technical vocational training (Essential).
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting and working with 3D data and technical drawings (Essential).
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, and AS9102 (Advantageous).
- Exposure to LEAN principles and continuous improvement practices.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong computer literacy: MS 365, SAP, TeamCenter.
- High level of self-motivation, independence, and resilience.
- Willingness to travel internationally and adapt to diverse working environments.
- Team player with the ability to manage conflict and external pressures effectively.
