Description:

To lead and manage a high-performing Human Resources function, aligned to the organisation’s goals and strategic priorities. The role ensures compliance with all relevant labour legislation and oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and systems. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Matric / Grade 12 (compulsory).
  • A formal qualification in Human Resources or related field is highly advantageous, but not essential.
Experience:
  • Experience managing full HR functions, including payroll, compliance, training, and performance management.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in:
    • SAGE VIP / SAGE Business Cloud Payroll Professional (including EMP501 generation and SARS submissions).
    • Compeasy (for online registration of Injuries on Duty).
    • Return of Earnings (ROE) submissions via the Department of Labour website.
    • Employment Equity (EE), Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) submissions.
    • OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) and POPI/PAIA compliance.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Competence in HR systems and online statutory portals.
  • Strong attention to detail and process compliance.
Knowledge & Competencies:
  • Solid understanding of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, OHSA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SARS and Department of Labour reporting requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
