Description:

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager for our client in Helderberg, Somerset West.

Company Overview:
Our client is a cutting-edge design and manufacturing company specializing in advanced, lightweight composite products for leading global players in the aircraft interior and aircraft seating industries

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring effective communication and resolution of claims, warranties, and contractual matters.
  • Coordinate and track all design iterations and changes during development and serial production phases.
  • Implement and maintain a robust "lessons learned" framework to capture and apply knowledge from past and current projects.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing updates to the project steering committee on key performance indicators.
  • Track and manage project budgets, identifying cost drivers and proposing cost-saving measures.
  • Identify, assess, prioritize, and monitor project risks using structured risk management tools.
  • Provide clear, regular, and structured feedback to internal and external stakeholders on project status.
  • Oversee all project management activities, addressing bottlenecks, escalating issues where needed, and exploring viable alternatives.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, define milestones and responsibilities, and allocate and oversee work packages.
  • Review customer purchase orders to ensure alignment with the latest offers and specifications.
  • Ensure the timely resolution and implementation of solutions to customer-reported or internally identified project issues.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions between Development and Industrialization and Serial Production phases.

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project.
  • Strong project management capabilities: formal qualification in project management is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design principles (Advantageous).
  • Experience in working with global teams and across diverse cultural environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent (Advantageous).

Minimum Requirements & Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Engineering qualification highly advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven project management experience within a manufacturing environment (Essential).
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project.
  • Strong project management capabilities: formal qualification in project management is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design principles (Advantageous).
  • Experience in working with global teams and across diverse cultural environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent (Advantageous).
