Senior Field Guide position within a wildlife or nature reserve, responsible for overseeing a team of field guides, ensuring the highest quality wildlife viewing experience for guests, maintaining safety standards, and often playing a key role in staff training, conservation efforts, and guest relations within the lodge or reserve; essentially leading the guiding operations and acting as the primary expert on the local ecosystem and wildlife.Meticulous in all aspects of assisting in Managing the guiding departmentManage, Oversee and Discipline staff in the guiding departmentStaff training and developmentAssist the Marketing team to manage social media contentPerform all administrative duties pertaining to the guiding departmentAllocation of Rangers and Trackers to daily game drivesStaff scheduling and rostersManage daily game drives and bush walksHosting dutiesAssist in guest activitiesAssist around the lodge in other departments if neededPhotographic safarisStock controlCompile weekly and monthly reportsManage departmental budget comparisonsValid RSA ID. - Stable track record.Reliable, ethical, confidential, motivated, guest orientated, honest, passionate. Skills and requirements2 to 3 years’ experience in a Big 5 Game Reserve and Luxury Lodge essential
