Hire Resolves client is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to oversee and ensure quality assurance on a major construction project in the Johannesburg area. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of ensuring that all construction work is carried out to the required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Conduct regular site inspections and produce detailed reports.

Identify and report on poor workmanship, materials, and potential risks.
-
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project managers on-site issues.
-
Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained on-site.
-
Verify and document completed work for progress claims and sign-offs.
-
Maintain thorough records of inspections, site activities, and deviations.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Clerk of Works in the construction sector.

Proven experience on large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
-
Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.

Excellent communication and reporting skills.
-
Relevant technical qualification (e.g., diploma or certification in construction management, civil engineering, or similar).

Own transport and valid driver’s license preferred.
