Our client in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Bottling Team Leader to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, along with a Matric certificate and an NQF Level 2 or 3 qualification in Production Technology. The main focus of this role is to assist the Shift Supervisor in monitoring the bottling operational processes to ensure production meets the required quality standards, specifications, targets and efficiency levels. REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- NQF Level 2 or 3 in Production Technology
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior operating capacity.
- Solid knowledge of production process operations
- Proven ability to fully understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Machine Operating Instructions
- Previous experience working with a Human Machine Interface (HMI)
- Ability to identify machine instability or potential breakdowns
- Skilled in making basic machine adjustments using specialized tools during product changeovers
- Sound knowledge of Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
DUTIES:
- Check dry goods for each production run to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
- Monitor bottling processes by conducting regular physical checks to ensure smooth operation and adherence to standard procedures
- Assist operators with process issues to minimize production downtime
- Verify that control documentation (production pack) is accurately completed and that products meet specified standards
- Respond promptly to processing issues to maintain efficient production flow
- Identify potential machine problems and report them to the Shift Supervisor
- Provide guidance and support to operators to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
- Train operators on processes in line with standard operating procedures, as required
- Perform minor machine maintenance to help prevent equipment breakdowns
- Act as Shift Assistant Supervisor when needed
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
