Description:
On any given day, an operator may unload raw materials, prepare a test run to ensure a machine is working properly, inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Set up or program the computer responsible for the machinery Follow safety requirements and maintain certifications Inspect the machinery and product for quality assurance Perform daily maintenance on the machinery Handle materials appropriately and safely POST REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) NQF Level 5 as a Fitter Turner, Tool Maker or Turner Machinist (Artisan) CNC Certificate and/or CNC Qualifications will be advantageous At least 3 years' experience as a CNC Operator Ability to programme, setup and operate CNC Machines Ability to read and interpret drawings Ability to use various measuring tools and work with minimum tolerance Clear criminal record and no pending criminal cases
