A well-established company is seeking to appoint a Junior Researcher : Cultural Heritage (12 month fixed term contract)The purpose of the job is to perform research related to Robben Island’s history and context and communicate research findings through seminars, conferences, publications. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) with specialization in either social study, History, Political. Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Museums and Heritage Studies or Records Management will be advantageous Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Research Field. Fluency in 2 official languages Proficient in MS Office Broad understanding of South Africa’s political history Required Skills, Competencies and Attributes: Photographic Skills Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrable strategic, conceptual and analytical capacities.
