Senior Warehouse Systems Controller

Reporting: Packaging Manager
Location: Montague Gardens

Key Functional Areas:
• Ensure adherence to R638 regulation for food handlers.
• Ensure all paperwork, logs, data entry to be done properly, timely and orderly.
• Be accountable for all receiving/inbound deliveries.
• Unload, check, store and distribute incoming merchandise according to company procedures.
• Inspect deliveries for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.
• Accurate record keeping of received merchandise using computerized systems.
• Be responsible for receiving, storing, picking and assembling, packing material for production.
• Take ownership regarding organizing and general housekeeping of stock in the receiving warehouse and display unit.
• Process Syspro transactions.
• Responsible to keep our planning system (Liquid Planner) up to date and accurate.
• Printing of filling sheets and issuing work to warehouse pickers.
• Follow up on shortages and extras requested from the production teams.
• Ensure that all stock is stored correctly and rotated accordingly: first in first out (FIFO)/First expire first out (FEFO)
• Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
• Perform Daily/Weekly/Monthly stock counts as scheduled and per Libstar policy – on and off-site storage.
• Be responsible for cycle counts.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all receiving.
• Complete daily/ weekly dispatch reports.
• Monitor stock accuracy and report variances to Warehouse Supervisor
• Ensure the receiving of all goods returned from different CHS sites.
• Be the Stand-In for the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Perform the function of a General Packer if needed.

Required prior learning/ experience:
• The minimum requirement for this position is Grade 12/ Equivalent.
• 3 Years Warehousing/Logistics Administration experience (knowledge of Receiving is advantageous).
• ERP/Syspro knowledge and a strong understanding of MS Office is required.
• Experience is managing staff.
• Currently studying towards a relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management.
