Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team based in Stellenbosch. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including pre-sales support, project execution, system integration, testing, and product lifecycle management. You will work closely with customers, project teams, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality technical solutions.Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Eng Degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Telecoms, RF, or Software Development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering with additional qualifications in Project Management or Systems Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Telecoms, RF, or Software Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales & Project Activities:
- Requirement & Specification Management:
- Elicit and define customer/user needs.
- Derive and document system and solution requirements.
- Validate and verify requirement specifications.
- Proposal Preparation:
- Design and propose solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Provide technical inputs for proposals and project planning.
Project Execution:
- Detailed Solution Design:
- Finalize solution architecture.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams.
- System Integration & Testing:
- Support integration and testing activities.
- Contribute to test plans and risk mitigation strategies.
- Project Timelines:
- Identify and mitigate risks affecting project deliverables.
Installation, Upgrades & Site Acceptance:
- Oversee on-site installation and system integration.
- Plan and support upgrade activities, including test plan reviews.
- Manage solution qualification tests and site acceptance testing (SAT).
