The Creative Assistant will support the Creative Manager in executing in-store displays, installations, and styling for Weylandts products. This role plays a key part in enhancing the client experience, ensuring brand alignment, and supporting the integration of product into the retail environment.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and creative professional who enjoys transforming visual concepts into impactful in-store displays while ensuring seamless execution and organization.
This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and modelling in-store homeware and furniture installations and concepts in 2D and 3D using SketchUp, AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Support the sourcing and procurement of props for in-store styling, installations, workshops and visual merchandising projects.
- Assist in refining and developing styling guides while curating the Homeware Lookbook.
- Help manage the full process of sourcing, costing, and delivering props and materials.
- Assist in planning and coordinating workshops for visual merchandisers.
- Provide administrative support, including sourcing items, obtaining quotations and managing documentation for installations and workshops.
Technical experience:
- Diploma in Interior Décor, Retail, Fashion, or Design.
- 2-3 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design or related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD and Revit is advantageous.
Personal skills and attributes:
- Strong passion for retail and design, with a keen eye for aesthetics and homeware integration.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and execute styling solutions effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and creative mindset.
