Description:
Main Purpose:
The primary objective of this position is to construct, repair and maintain mechanical systems and machinery while also completing welding.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cutting and assembling metal to fit into new machines.
Measuring materials for metal fabrication.
Repairing different types of machinery and equipment.
Interpreting plans, diagrams and graphs for manufacturing operations.
Determining whether machinery requires new metal components.
Adhering to safety protocols for multiple types of tools and equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12.
Mechanical Fitting Trade Test.
At least 5 years of Mechanical Fitting experience.
Excellent proven interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to lift and carry products.
Special requirements:
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing, including formal communications and making presentations.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
A sense of urgency with a strong customer service approach.
Hard working, resourceful, ambitious and have excellent business experience.
