A leading distribution company with a national footprint is seeking a Finance Manager to join their high-performing team, based at their head office in Melrose Arch . This role is instrumental in ensuring financial control, optimising working capital, and maintaining robust reporting frameworks to support operational growth and efficiency.
As the Finance Manager , you will lead a team of qualified accountants and finance clerks, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, while overseeing cash flow planning, budgeting, and stock valuation processes. A key focus of the role includes designing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance financial and operational controls. In addition to your finance team, you will also provide indirect oversight of warehouse operations , playing a pivotal role in aligning inventory, finance, and logistics strategies.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Registered CA(SA) – non-negotiable.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-article experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
- Proven experience in cash flow management , stock valuation , and SOP implementation .
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge (SAP, SAGE X3, or similar).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and warehouse teams.
