About the Role:As the New Business Development Manager, youll be responsible for identifying and securing profitable new business opportunities across KwaZulu-Natal and nationally. You will drive solutions-based selling, lead client engagements at C-level, and develop winning proposals that support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive new business growth in warehousing and distribution within key verticals Identify and source high-value business leads aligned to strategic goals Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial prospecting through to final negotiations and onboarding Lead solution design processes, ensuring that proposals are cost-effective, feasible, and client-focused Build and manage a long-term sales pipeline to support multi-year growth Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handover and implementation
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience with selling logistics (warehouse & distribution) solutions to large customers Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing complex solution-based sales cycles C-level negotiation experience and excellent presentation skills High business acumen with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities Experience in using CRM tools and warehouse/ERP systems (Red Prairie, and SAP advantageous) Exposure to the automotive production systems a plus CPIM/CSCP or logistics/supply chain-related qualifications advantageous
