Description:
The above position is available in Heritage Department. The purpose of the job is to record and edit all audio-visual material and to ensure the safe keeping of material and maintenance of equipment.
Responsibilities:
• To record and edit all audio-visual material • Ensure the safe keeping of A/V material database and archive • Maintenance of equipment. • Records video footage for exhibitions, events, documentaries, new media and other photographic applications. • Responsible for the integration and maintenance of audio-visual systems in various settings, such as conferences, meetings, and events. • Operates the equipment and systems required for live broadcasting, such as cameras, switchers, and transmission.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements:
• Diploma in Audio Visual technology or equivalent • RSA Drivers Licence code 08 (with PDP) will be advantageous.
Work Experience:
• Two years audio visual and Filming experience. • Knowledge of design and editing programmes • Knowledge of audio and visual programmes • Fluent in 3 official languages.
Required Skills, Competencies and Attributes:
• Video production (Shooting, directing and producing video content) • Visual storytelling to convey messages and objective through visual media. • Strong multitasking skills (ability to work on more than one brief at any given time) • Strong time management skills • Knowledge of audio equipment & techniques for audio capturing • Expertise in setting up and using studio/natural lighting to enhance video • Setup and understanding of all video equipment • Strong video editing skills
