Our client, operating in the agricultural industry and located in the Hex River Valley , has the above vacancy available.
The ideal candidate is a reliable individual with excellent accounting and administrative skills, paired with the ability to work accurately.
The Accountant will oversee staff members in the wage office, and will be responsible for the accounting functions of four (4) entities, as well as the Owners’ personal investments. Duties will include: *Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance *Cashflow management *Preparation of management and financial reports *Support with management systems and internal controls *Wages *VAT and statutory compliance *Managing debtors and creditors *Journals and cash book management *Fixed asset register and depreciation schedules *Purchasing negotiations *Audit preparation and year-end procedures *all other functions associated with this position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification;
• Approximately 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position;
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office and QuickBooks);
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
