Cafe Cashier

Description:

• Welcoming clients.
• Cleaning
• Ensure that beverages and food are served timeously.
• Responsible for the opening and closing of the shop and safeguarding of keys
• Performing duties of a cashier by transaction of the point of sale system
• Communicating with the CIT staff upon the collection of cash in safe.
  • Serving foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, grilled meal items, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, serving items to clients.
  • Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
  • Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
    • To ensure availability to assist in the kitchen when required.
      • Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
      • Handling and liasing handover of meals to MrD and Ubereats Drivers & ensuring that the customer is served timeously.
        • Cleaning and refilling condiment sets.
        • Setting tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair.
        • To be completely familiar with the composition of all menu items.
        • Serving food and beverages in accordance with laid-down standards, in a professional, courteous manner.
        • At all times to be aware of and practice good customer relations, assisting the residents in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.
        • Attending customer complaints satisfactorily.
        • To be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress.
        • Restock and replenish inventory and supplies.
        • Ensure that billing of orders are done correctly.
        • Assist, when needed, for private events that require a waiter to be available.
        • Must reside in the East Rand and able to commute to Boksburg
        • Must be willing to earn R3500 to R4500 per month depending on experience.
