Marketing Coordinator (Christian)
This leading South African publisher and distributor requires the services of a Marketing Coordinator (Christian). The successful candidate will be based in Denver, Johannesburg.
Main purpose of the role:
We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator who will assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Christian books, understands digital trends, and is passionate about connecting readers with books. This role is perfect for someone with knowledge of the Christian market and sensitivity to faith-based values.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with developing and implementing marketing plans for new book releases
- Write copy for newsletters and the website
- Assist with copy for social media posts
- Stay up to date with Christian trends and reader interests
- Help organize and support book events, and promotional activations
Skills and competencies:
- Relevant diploma or degree with emphasis on marketing.
- Experience in marketing in a related industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for books
- Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and excellent organization
- Time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest in pursuing new marketing opportunities and new ways of reaching readers, staying abreast of wider book trends
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience in Canva, In Design and Photoshop
