Our client, a leading group in the restaurant sector with operations across Africa, is recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager to join their Management Committee (MANCO).This role will take full ownership of the supply chain planning function, ensuring consistency, operational alignment, and strategic integration across all entities within the group. The Supply Chain Manager will be instrumental in leading transformation efforts and building long-term capabilities to support business growth across multiple African markets.The role requires a combination of high-level strategic oversight and strong operational expertise, driving process integration, digitization, and risk mitigation within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a unified supply chain planning framework across all African operations within the group.
- Provide strategic direction for demand and supply planning processes, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts, market needs, and business objectives.
- Drive group-wide integration of standard operating procedures (SOPs), promoting consistency and visibility across entities.
- Champion the design and rollout of a supply chain digitization roadmap, focused on end-to-end process optimization and system efficiencies.
- Establish and maintain a supply continuity and contingency matrix to manage inventory-related risks and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
- Build and nurture high-performing teams across the supply chain function, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
- Oversee tactical and long-term capacity planning with suppliers to ensure consistent product availability and responsiveness to dynamic demand.
- Collaborate closely with internal supply chain teams, third-party logistics providers, and franchise partners to ensure unified execution and planning discipline.
- Lead planning and coordination of raw material and ingredient flows, ensuring alignment with operational demand and reducing inefficiencies across the value chain.
- Drive strategic supply chain optimization initiatives that support the business expansion and operational excellence across Africa.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning and Logistics Management at a senior leadership level , preferably within the food or restaurant industry.
- Proven success in managing multi-country supply chain environments, with experience integrating operations across business units or subsidiaries.
- Strong capability in supplier management, demand forecasting, network planning, and inventory optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation and digitization projects within the supply chain function.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to drive collaboration across multiple stakeholders and business units.
Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
- A completed Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management , Logistics , Business , Industrial Engineering , Engineering , or a related field.
