Our client, a respected player in the mining sector, is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Modeller to join their team. This is a strategic role that will play a key part in shaping investment decisions, operational planning, and long-term financial forecasting across mining projects.The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing complex financial models that support the business in making data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities:- Develop, test, and maintain robust financial models for mining operations, capital projects, and feasibility studies
- Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support commercial and investment decisions
- Work closely with technical, commercial, and finance teams to ensure models are aligned with operational realities
- Present model outputs and insights to senior stakeholders and support strategic recommendations
- Continuously update models based on operational inputs, market dynamics, and business priorities
- Ensure financial models are accurate, compliant, and meet industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Maths, Stats or Finance
- Proven experience in financial modelling, preferably in the mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong Excel modelling skills and proficiency in building dynamic, multi-variable models from scratch
- Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into financial and business implications
- Solid understanding of valuation, project finance, and investment analysis principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
