Description:
The Tutor's responsibilities include preparing lessons, producing learning materials, assessing students' needs, and monitoring their academic progress. The successful candidate is expected to provide one-on-one instruction, identifying and helping improve students' understanding of school coursework.Responsibilities:
1. Assist with homework assignments, and tests designed for Grade 6 and Grade 2 students.
2. Monitor the child's progress and adapt teaching methods to best suit individual students.
3. Collaborate with parents and teachers to evaluate students performance and devise strategies for improvement.
4. Strengthen students' study techniques and learning strategies.
5. Maintain records of students' progress and development.
6. Provide constructive feedback, reinforcement, and direction to students.
7. Identify students' academic strengths and weaknesses.
8. Aid in students' preparation for standardized tests.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
2. Previous experience in tutoring or teaching roles.
3. Proven ability to explain complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms.
4. Knowledge of the standard curriculum for Grade 6 and Grade 2.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient relational skills.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Ability to inspire and motivate students - a positive attitude a must
8. May require a criminal background check.
9. Available for after-school tutoring sessions.
