Senior Accountant

Description:

A well-established organization is looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing consolidated financial management accounts, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the Finance Manager with audit planning and execution. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage financial deadlines and contribute to the companys financial integrity and growth.

Other Duties Include:

• Collating, processing, and reconciling finance accounts.
• Preparing and submitting monthly VAT reconciliations.
• Overseeing month-end closure and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Reviewing and reconciling financial general ledgers.
• Preparing detailed variance analysis for financial and management reports.
• Assisting with the finalization and review of reports prepared by the Corporate Finance Team.
• Co-managing external and internal audits alongside the Finance Manager.
  Education:
  
• Completed BCom Degree
  Job Experience & Skills Required:
  
• 4 to 5 years of accounting experience, up to trial balance.

Strong consolidations and Excel skills. In-depth knowledge of RSA financial statutory and tax requirements. Ability to work under pressure, with a strong focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
