Description:
Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical fitting and turning tasks including assembly, maintenance, and repair of mining plant equipment.
Operate and maintain lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools.
Conduct inspections and identify mechanical faults or wear.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with operational standards.
Assist in scheduled plant maintenance and breakdown response.
Requirements:
Trade Test Certificate: Fitter and/or Turner (recognized by MQA or relevant authority)
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining operations.
Valid driver’s license and own transport.
Must reside within 30 km of Ergo Operations.
Added Advantage:
Experience in gold processing plants.
Basic SHE knowledge and ability to work shifts or overtime if required.
