Description:
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting
Identify and raise tax liability activities and escalate to Senior Executive team where appropriate. Efficient management of group and subsidiary tax affairs
Review of VAT reconciliation and submission on SARS e-filing
Responsible for accurate monthly reporting of consolidated financials
Overall responsibility and accountability for Finance and Supply Chain
Drive long and short-term planning, new options and optimise the balance between current operations cash flow, asset development, survival and new business development
Provide the business with meaningful business analysis
On-time proactive monthly and annual management reporting, interpretation and recommendations for business implementation
Design and implement systems and processes to support reporting requirements with ongoing system improvements
Pro-actively identify emerging trends, risk areas, compliance to plans, cash optimization opportunities and general efficiencies through review, analysis, interrogation and the interpretation.
Manage Year-end audit process
Develop and implement a financial responsive stakeholder engagement strategy at all levels
Skills & Experience:
Business Planning and cost reviews
Strong accounting processes and systems knowledge
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this role
Demonstrated strategic and analytic thinking
Qualification:
CA(SA)
Minimum 5 Years post article experience
Mining industry experience advantageous
