Description:
Electrical or Mechatronic Design Engineer required for a position in Somerset West.Must have BEng or BTech with minimum 2-5 years of working experience in design and contractor management of biogas plants. Electrical or Mechatronic Design EngineerSomerset West
Will be responsible for MV systems design to design and manufacturing of LV distribution boards and 400V MCCs for the control of motors and process equipment on biogas, water- and wastewater treatment plants and factories in the food and beverage industry.
Design and contractor management of new greenfield biogas plants.
Minimum requirements and qualifications:
- BEng or BTech degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years of design experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be willing to travel overseas.
- Must have a good understanding of Industrial Automation (MCC, VSD's, PLCs, Switchgear and Integrated Solutions).
Responsibilities:
- Drafting Key Single Line and electrical diagrams
- Drafting Tender Specification Documents for electrical cabling and power distribution.
- Managing subcontractors during site installations.
- Managing the design of Instrumentation and control systems. Managing the design of power distribution and electrical infrastructure.
- Review of panel designs and electrical drawings (supplied by contractors).
- Understanding of ATEX zones
