Opportunity for a Technical Accountant One of the world’s largest mining companies, is seeking a highly skilled and driven Technical IFRS Accountant to join their Finance team. This is a pivotal opportunity to work at the forefront of technical accounting across a complex, multinational group.Duties:
- Providing expert guidance on the application and interpretation of IFRS standards across the group.
- Researching, evaluating, and implementing new and amended IFRS standards and ensuring consistent group-wide compliance.
- Preparing high-quality technical accounting papers and briefing senior stakeholders, including Group Finance leadership and external auditors.
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Assisting with internal training on IFRS developments
Education and experience:
- CA(SA)
- At least 2 years post article experience
