Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the group’s consolidated financial reporting and ensure alignment with IFRS and local statutory requirements. This role supports strategic financial decision-making and requires strong experience in group accounting, financial controls, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes across group entities.
- Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis at group level.
- Maintain and improve group accounting policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Support Mergers & Acuisitions due diligence and integration processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to relevant departments.
- Present performance analysis reports to senior leadership.

- Vat Returns: 7 to 8 years
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles .
- Minimum 10 years’ experience , preferably in a group accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles .
- Sound understanding of VAT and income tax .
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel .
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Clear Credit and Criminal checks
- Educational qualifications verified
- Valid references required
Preferred:
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Xero).
- Exposure to foreign currency transactions .
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
