Description:
Job Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and services required by the company. This role involves supplier negotiations, cost reduction strategies, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining quality standards while adhering to company policies and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Order Management :
- Process purchase orders based on requisitions or Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Ensure suppliers receive accurate specifications and details for correct item delivery.
- Expedite purchase orders to meet project or production deadlines.
- Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and liaise with supplier representatives.
- Identify and source new suppliers when required, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of procurement records.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers, including pricing, quality, and delivery concerns.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Work closely with warehouse and production teams to align purchasing with demand.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Cost Management & Estimations
- Obtain cost estimates for products and services to assist with budgeting and project planning.

- Diploma/Degree in procurement, supply chain management or related field.
- Experience in the Manufacturing Industry and have technical background.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency.
- Computer literate –Purchasing System.
- Minimum 5 years buying experience.
- Previous Evo system experience will be advantageous
